We would often strongly advise against performing a full reset and reserve it as a last resort option because if you have a device that came with a licensed version of Fully Kiosk you will lose this license and we will be unable to provide another meaning you will have to purchase your own should you wish to continue using Fully Kiosk's premium features. That being said, if necessary we have included the instructions to perform a full reset below:
Reset Tablet
Navagate to: Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data
Once the reset is done it is preferable to complete set up on wifi prior to installing connecting the SIM (if you plan to use a SIM).
To install Give a little open the Google Chrome app and enter: https://givealittle.co/app/payazCore This will download a copy of GAL directly and a prompt should appear at the bottom of the screen to ‘Open’. Go ahead and do this to install.
After logging in to Give a little for the first time check that the app is up to date.
If you have a SIM card to install navigate to: Settings - Mobile & network - Access point names. Then tap the ‘+’ symbol in the top corner to add a new APN.
Set APN to: mobiledata - Username: <leave blank> - Password: <leave blank> - Authentication: None - Roaming: Enabled. Tap the 3 dots in the top corner and hit save. Then select the new APN from list.
A SIM setup video can also be viewed here: https://youtu.be/gOAeUdAXZpI
Reset SumUp
The SumUp can be reset by disconnecting from power supply, turning off and then turn back on holding the power button until reset instruction appears. The reader may run though several different prompts before 'Release for reset' appears so wait until you see the correct message. Release the button when prompted. A few seconds later the card reader should 'beep' to confirm reset.
Optional
It might be worth considering a kiosk app. This will fully lock the device down for unattended but as a byproduct should reopen the app if it crashes.
Kiosk apps are provided by 3rd party developers so we do not offer support. These apps are generally free of charge and are very popular. However many churches prefer not to have them and they can be tricky to set up (especially if not needed).
Currently the most popular app used on our devices is 'Fully Single App Kiosk'. If you search for this directly on tablet PlayStore app you can download and install. We would recommend that this is done by someone with a good working knowledge of Android devices.
Finally
After the reset you might also need to run a system update. Some devices issues roughly between Nov 22 and Jan 23 require this update. If this is the case an icon with three triangles will appear in the top lefthand side of the screen. If not you can search for the updated by navigating to: Settings > System > Advanced > About Tablet > Wireless Update > Check for updates. You can view an installation guide here.
