SumUp can release various SDK updates here and there for their readers and sometimes this can cause a little trouble if not installed.
Firstly please check that your copy of Give a little is up to date by tapping 'update' in the app menu.
Then we would recommend doing a hard reset on the SumUp reader.
The SumUp can be reset by disconnecting from power supply, turning off and then turn back on holding the power button until reset instruction appears.
The reader may run though several different prompts before 'Release for reset' appears so wait until you see the correct message.
Release the button when prompted. A few seconds later the card reader should 'beep' to confirm reset.
If this doesn't resolve the issue you can manually update readers with a different method.
You will first need to download free the SumUp app on your phone (not the GivingStation) and log in.
On the SumUp app, tap the profile icon in the corner. Choose "Card reader" and ensure your Air is connected.
Tap the reader you're using to check for updates. A message will pop up to inform you of any installable updates. From there you can then update the reader.
Then log out of the SumUp app and connect the reader again to the GivingStation.
