Replacing a SumUp is a fairly straight forward process.
To remove the old reader you'll need a Philips screwdriver to loosen the two screws on the back of the reader. These can be accessed through the two round holes on the back of the GivingStation.
Once the screws are loosened, open the lid of the GivingStation and lift the card reader out.
The new reader will have some screws pre-installed. Do not remove the screws as doing so will cause the tamper switch to be triggered.
If you open the lid on the GivingStation the new reader should drop into position with the two screws sliding into the ‘U’ shaped slots. You can then close the lid and move to the back of the GivingStation where you can use the round holes on the back to access the screws and tighten. The thickness of the GivingStation metal should prevent them from being over tightened.
You can then put the power cable back in and operate as normal.
