My SIM doesn't seem to be working

We currently offer a bundle of a GivingStation + SIM on our website therefore your SIM will come pre-installed and activated, however, if you have decided at a later date that you will require a SIM and order it separately, you will be given instructions on how to setup your SIM correctly. Please ensure that you have also carefully followed our video tutorial on how to setup your SIM:

How to ensure that your SIM is being read by the device:


Go to Settings -> Network & Internet -> SIM cards 


You should see that the SIM is showing in one of the slots. Also in the top right hand corner you should see a reception bar similar to a phone.


If you do not see any of this we will know that the SIM is not being read (and can look at options around this). If you do see these indicators then we know that the device can at least see the SIM so it is likely a setting that needs changed.


Assuming that the SIM is being read the first thing to do is go to Settings - Mobile network settings and check that 'Data roaming' and 'Enhanced 4G LTE Mode' are both on. Also go to Settings - Data usage and under the heading 'Mobile' make sure that Mobile data is on.

 

If you work through these settings it should get you up and running.
