If you’ve recently ordered a Payaz device, you might have come across two names — Payaz Software and Give A Little — and wondered, “Do I really need both?” or “Aren’t they the same thing?”

Same Hardware, Different Software

Both Payaz and Give A Little are software platforms that run on Payaz devices like the GivingStand, GivingStation, TapTile and PayazGo. They do very similar things — allowing you to collect donations, display appeals, and view reports — but they come from different places.

• Payaz Software is built by us here at Payaz. It’s our own platform, designed to work seamlessly with our hardware, and developed based on feedback from the charities, churches, and community groups who use it every day.
• Give A Little is a separate company we’ve partnered with for years. Their software also works with our devices, and many customers still use and love it.

So, while both systems work perfectly with Payaz hardware, you’ll only ever need one.

Do You Need Both?

No, you don’t need to subscribe to both software options. Your device only runs on one platform.

You can choose between:

• Payaz Software (£10 + VAT per month for up to five devices)
• Give A Little Premium (billed separately through Give A Little https://givealittle.co/pricing)

You can’t have both running on the same device, but you’re free to switch between them if your needs change in the future.

How to Decide Which Software to Use

Both Payaz Software and Give A Little offer great ways to collect donations and manage your fundraising. The main difference lies in how they’re managed and what kind of setup suits your organisation best.

Payaz Software is our in-house platform, developed specifically for Payaz hardware. It’s designed to keep everything under one roof — from device setup and appeal management to Gift Aid collection and reporting. Because it’s built and supported directly by the Payaz team, it offers a simple, all-in-one approach where your software and hardware are fully connected.

Give A Little, on the other hand, is an independent donation platform that Payaz has partnered with for many years. It’s used across the UK by churches, charities, and community groups. If your organisation already has a Give A Little account or uses their system on other devices, you can easily continue using it with your Payaz hardware.

In short, both platforms do the same job — helping you take contactless donations.

Your choice simply depends on whether you prefer to manage your setup directly through Payaz or continue using Give A Little as your existing platform.
